Marshmallows, butter, and rice cereal makes a workable treat that can be turned into any shape. And we love the taste! Once the mixture is melted you can add food coloring to make it extra fun!
MAKES ABOUT 3 CUPS
2½ cups mini marshmallows
2 tablespoons butter
Food coloring (optional)
3 cups rice cereal (Rice Krispies)
Nonstick cooking spray
1 Place the mini marshmallows and butter in a large bowl and microwave on high until melted, about 1½ minutes. Stir until smooth. For a tinted treat, add the desired food coloring at this point.
2 Fold in the rice cereal until well blended.
3 Spray your clean hands and cake pan, if using, liberally with the nonstick cooking spray and follow the recipe to shape as desired.
CHOCOLATE RICE CEREAL TREAT
MAKES ABOUT 3 CUPS
½ cup mini chocolate chips (Nestlé)
2½ cups mini marshmallows
2 tablespoons butter
3 cups rice cereal (Rice Krispies)
Nonstick cooking spray
Make as directed, adding the mini chocolate chips to the marshmallows and butter before melting. Follow the recipe to shape as desired.
