Occupation Cupcakes
Hey Grads, it's time to get a job!

We use fun cupcaking techniques in our book
Hello, Cupcake! that can help you design Occupation Cupcakes. Know someone destined to be a nurse, a teacher, a policeman, or even a Supreme Court Judge? Show them your support by making a cupcake recognizing their goals. Below are samples of the ones we made for ourselves.

We used melted white chocolate for the opera singer's wig, and candies for most of the accoutrements, like marshmallows for the chef's toque and sailor cap, spice drops and pretzels for the axe, and M&Ms, Chiclets, O cereal, Runts, and jelly beans for the noses, eyes, and mouths. That crazy baseball hat is a Mallomar with a white chocolate brim, the Fireman's hat is a spice drop with a fruit chew shield, the lumber jack's hat is a red spice drop with plaid chocolate details, and the cowboy hat is a potato chip with a spice drop on top. The directions for these cupcakes are in our book
Hello, Cupcake!: Irresistibly Playful Creations Anyone Can Make But now we want to see your ideas for how to start a career. So using techniques from our book, or using your own wild concepts, show us your career planning.

Welcome to the
Hello,
Cupcake!
ClubTM.
We've decided it is time to start a cupcaking club and we want you to be a member.

Every month Hello, Cupcake! authors Alan and Karen are going to give members a cupcaking challenge with basic instructions. As a member all you have to do is take the challenge. You can follow the instructions and do what we do or better yet give us your spin on the cupcake design and out-do what we do. At the end of the month we ask that you post a photo of your cupcake challenge on your blog or on our group page at Flickr. It's free to join, it's easy to be a member, and it is going to be a lot of fun. Instructions for joining are below. It's a great way to share cupcaking ideas and designs, so let's get this club started.

Check out the current challenge to the right!

We know clubs like this on the web have to have rules but the only rules we can think of are to be kind to other members and keep it fun! If you send us an image we assume you agree to us posting it on our web site or blog, so don't be surprised to see us showing everyone how creative you are!

That's about it so off to our cupcake challenge.
